Your First Chiropractic Visit
Through the course of his experience, Dr. Letzt has implemented a comprehensive examination process to help figure out the root cause of your pain. Unlike other chiropractic practices, we do not have a one-size fits all approach.
His initial examination process involves three exams, orthopedic, neurologic, and chiropractic. These exams will help pinpoint the root cause of issues. It can take about 60 minutes to complete this initial evaluation.
After the initial exam, chiropractic treatment is initiated which can last 20 minutes. Dr. Letzt’s practice includes a blend of chiropractic modalities and soft tissue techniques.
Initial Examination Fee
For the month of insert month we have reduced our initial exam fee by 50% for new patients.

X-Ray & MRI Studies
X-rays can be a helpful diagnostic tool for some conditions and patients. We don’t require X-rays for most conditions, but if Dr. Letzt feels these imaging studies would be helpful, he may recommend that you get X-rays or an MRI. This helps to get a better look at the vertebrae, muscles, tendons, and ligaments that may be causing your issues.

Professional Services - Top Chiropractor in Malibu
Manual chiropractic technique that involves spinal adjustments and manipulations. It corrects subluxations or misalignments of the vertebrae in order to improve joint mobility, reduce pain, and restore normal function. This is what is referred to as traditional chiropractic.
This is a gentle chiropractic technique where the patient lies on a specialized table to stretch and mobilize the spine.
Each of these techniques has its own benefits and we tailor each chiropractic session to help you feel your best.
Soft Tissue Techniques
Myofascial Release (MRT)
Myofascial work releases tightness in the body's fascia, the connective tissue that links the muscles, bones, and organs. Tight fascia can pull the body out of alignment, leading to poor posture, pain, and increased risk of injury. Myofascial release increases range of motion by releasing the tight fascia. It’s also relaxing, reduces stress, and promotes overall well-being.
Active Release Technique (ART)
Active Release Technique (ART) is a form of manual therapy used to treat soft tissue injuries. Dr. Michael Leahy developed this technique in the 1980s. ART has gained popularity among elite athletes. Pressure is applied to specific areas of soft tissue while the patient is actively moving the body part through a range of motion. The combination of manual pressure and movement breaks up adhesions and scar tissue, helping restore normal function.
Graston
Uses special tools to break up muscle adhesions (knots) to speed up recovery time by reducing or eliminating pain and improving range of motion and function. This is popular among athletes in the NFL, NBA, & MLB.
We assess diet, posture, and lifestyle and can recommend nutritional supplements as needed.

The most common side effects of chiropractic treatment include temporary soreness, stiffness, or aching in the treated area. In rare cases, more serious complications such as herniated discs or nerve damage can occur. However, this is very unlikely since your trusted Malibu chiropractor will take careful precautions and prescribe treatment.
The number of chiropractic sessions needed depends on the specific condition being treated, as well as the individual patient’s response to treatment.
It’s common for chiropractors to recommend a series of initial sessions to address the acute phase of a condition, followed by periodic maintenance sessions to prevent a recurrence.
Many patients report feeling immediate relief and increased mobility after a single session. Long-term effects may depend on factors such as lifestyle, exercise, and ongoing chiropractic care.
